Delete your Safe? account
You can delete your Safe? account and associated data at any time, directly from the app or by emailing support. This page explains how, what gets removed, and what is retained.
In the app (recommended)
- Open Safe? on your phone and sign in.
- Tap Profile in the navigation bar at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen and tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm the two prompts. Your account is removed immediately.
By email
If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the phone number associated with your account (or include it in the message so we can verify ownership). We process email-based deletion requests within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your user profile (display name, phone number, photo URL, FCM push tokens).
- Your membership in any family group. If you are the only member, the family is also deleted; if you are the admin, admin is transferred to another member.
- Your ping history and any location reports you submitted.
- Your Firebase Authentication record.
What is retained
- Anonymized, aggregated analytics events (no personal identifiers): up to 12 months.
- Encrypted backup snapshots of our database: purged on a 30-day rolling cycle.
- Records we are legally required to retain (e.g. fraud or abuse logs): retained only as long as legally required.
